COVID19 Information

Hurst Dental Practice & COVID-19
Our response and reaction.

21st May 2020

At Hurst Dental and Implant Clinic, the most important thing is patient safety and comfort. Once given the green light by our regulatory bodies we will be opening our doors to dental treatments.

However, we will be introducing the following safety measures at the practice:

• Pre-appointment health checks for all patients who have a dental appointment.
• Only patients with pre-booked and confirmed appointments will be allowed to enter the premises.
• Clear signs and markings from entry till exit to guide you while you are in the practice to avoid congestion.
• Hand sanitising stations on entry and exit which will itself be regularly cleaned.
• Extended operating hours to allow further time to sanitise and cleanse areas.
• Paperless transactions to avoid handling of cash as much as possible.

We know these are strange times for all of us. However, as the situation develops and we are provided with more information, we ensure that you will be the first to know about what will be happening here at Hurst Dental.

24th March 2020

The 23rd of March hit us hard. Much like the rest of the world, Hurst dental went into lockdown. Our initial reactions and responses were concerning you, our patients, and how active we could be in these uncertain times. The safety of our community is paramount, especially during a pandemic, and we immediately contacted all our patients informing them on our revised schedule of dental visits. Right from day one of our national lockdown, we have been able to transition smoothly to remote dental consultations and care. We understand how disruptive and agonising a dental emergency can be, however the modernising of our practice over the recent years is reaping its rewards. Secure telecommunications and digitalised clinical records have allowed us to access medical records and x rays. Our investments have given us the ability to provide the appropriate advice, & information, with utmost professional care.

The Dental team here at Hurst, take pride in our duties of care and responsibility and are trying to do everything we can to ensure good health and wellbeing among our patients. Our on-call dentists are offering advice on immediate care and treatment and also helping to schedule necessary future visits. These arrangements are in place until the lockdown is eased. Feel free to contact us, for any dental problem, concern or query, big or small and we will do our best to help you. The new normal is going to be learning to work safely against Covid 19 and other new pathogens. We are now reinforcing our existing protocol, in line with the UK government and NHS England recommendations.

We are all in this together and we hope to get back to work and to get your dental health back on track. Stay at home, protect the NHS, save Lives.
